Solo Season is a self-growth, vision and habit app. Most of what you write in it never leaves your phone. This policy explains, in plain words, what stays on your device, what leaves it (only when you say yes), and what you can do about it.
Solo Season is made by Beastie Memes Marketing Co., Ltd., a company registered in Taiwan. We are the “data controller” for the small amount of data described below.
Questions, requests or complaints: beastie.memes.marketing@gmail.com.
The following is stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. We never see it, and it is not sent to our servers or to anyone else:
Deleting the app, or choosing Settings › Delete Account, erases all of it. If you make an iCloud or iTunes backup of your phone, that backup is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Three features send something to an AI so it can respond. None of them sends anything until you have read its disclosure screen and tapped Agree, and you can switch each one off again in Settings › AI & Privacy.
Each request also carries an anonymous device code (a random ID created on install, used only to count free AI uses and call minutes per month) and your language setting, so the reply comes back in the language you wrote in. It never carries your name, e-mail or Apple ID.
Where text goes: Solo Season's server (hosted on Vercel, in the United States) passes your text to Anthropic's Claude model through OpenRouter, an AI routing service. Both are third parties.
Where your voice goes: a call with Elia runs directly between your phone and OpenAI's Realtime API, a third party. Our server only hands your phone a key that expires within minutes and counts how many seconds you talked; your audio never passes through it.
What we keep: nothing of your text or your voice. Our server does not store or log what you wrote or said; it keeps only monthly counters (AI uses and call seconds) tied to the anonymous device code, which reset each month. OpenRouter, Anthropic and OpenAI may retain inputs briefly for safety and abuse monitoring under their own privacy policies.
Signing in is optional. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives the app a user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and e-mail. These are kept on your device to show in your profile. Solo Season does not run user accounts on a server today, so nothing is uploaded when you sign in.
Apple's own handling of Sign in with Apple is described at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Solo Season Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive or store your card or billing details. The app receives only the information needed to know whether Premium is active (for example a transaction identifier and expiry date).
The Daily Gentle Nudge is a local notification scheduled on your phone. No notification service or server is involved, and turning it off in Settings or in iOS Settings › Notifications stops it completely.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, the UK and US states such as California), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. We will never treat you differently for exercising a right.
Because almost everything is on your phone, the fastest way to exercise these rights is in the app:
California residents: we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. The only sensitive information we handle — the self-reflection text you choose to send to an AI — is used strictly to provide the feature you asked for.
Our server and the AI providers named in section 3 (OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI) operate in the United States. When text or audio you have chosen to send leaves the EU/EEA or UK, it is protected by the providers' standard contractual clauses and by encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS and secure WebSocket).
Data on your phone is protected by iOS's own encryption and your device passcode. Every request to our server travels over HTTPS. Our server holds no user content, so there is no database of your writing to breach.
Solo Season is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). If you believe a minor has sent data to us through an AI feature, write to beastie.memes.marketing@gmail.com and we will delete it.
When we change this policy we update the “Last updated” date above. If a change affects what leaves your phone — a new provider, a new field, a new purpose — the app will tell you and ask for your consent again before any AI feature sends anything.
