Terms of Use

1. Solo Season is not medical care

Solo Season is a self-reflection, goal and habit tool with AI-written encouragement. It is not a medical device, a clinical service or licensed counselling, and using it does not create a doctor–patient or therapist–client relationship.

The visions, suggestions and conversations the app generates are for reflection and motivation only. They are not medical, psychological or professional advice, and should not replace it.

2. Who may use the app

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
• If you sign in, you agree to give accurate information and to keep your Apple ID or e-mail secure. You are responsible for what happens on your device.

3. Premium subscription

Solo Season offers free features and an optional auto-renewing subscription, Solo Season Premium. The price and any free-trial period are shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy.

• Billing is handled by Apple through your Apple ID account. We never see your card details.
• Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of a free trial if you don't cancel before it ends.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Premium active until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are decided by Apple under its Media Services terms; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
• We may change prices with reasonable notice, as Apple's rules allow. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Your purchase is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, linked at the bottom of this page.

4. Free AI uses

Free plans include a limited number of AI uses and a limited number of Elia call minutes per month per device. The numbers may change; the app always tells you when you have run out and offers an on-device alternative or Premium. Calls have a maximum length and end automatically. Attempting to bypass these limits is not allowed.

5. Your content

Everything you write or say in Solo Season — visions, goals, habits, notes, calls with Elia — is yours. You keep all rights to it.

So that the app can work, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process and transmit the content you choose to send to an AI feature (text, or your voice during a call), solely to generate the reply you asked for. We do not use it for anything else, and the licence ends when the reply is delivered or the call ends.

6. Our content

The Solo Season name, logo, illustrations, design, the garden and bloom mechanics, and the underlying software belong to us and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

7. AI output

• AI replies are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or unexpected. Use your own judgement before acting on them.
• You agree not to try to make the AI produce abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory or unlawful content, or content about other people without their consent.
• We may change or improve the AI models and providers we use; the Privacy Policy and the in-app disclosure will always name the current ones.

8. What you may not do

• Reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the app's source code
• Interfere with, overload or attack our servers or the AI services behind them
• Circumvent the paywall, free-use limits or any security control
• Use the app to distribute malware or anything unlawful
• Resell or commercially exploit the app or its output without our written permission

9. Ending things

• You can stop using Solo Season at any time. Settings › Delete Account removes your data from the device; deleting the app does too.
• We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, act fraudulently, or if the law requires it.

10. No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, Solo Season is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any goal you set will be reached.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our officers, employees and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including lost data, emotional distress or lost goodwill — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard by the competent courts of Taiwan — unless the consumer-protection law of the country you live in gives you a right to a different forum.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell you inside the app. Continuing to use Solo Season after a change means you accept the new Terms.
